The Kodak EasyShare M893 IS combines an eight megapixel CCD imager and a Kodak-branded 3x optically stabilized zoom lens with a 34 – 102mm equivalent focal range. For framing images, there’s a 2.7-inch 230K pixel LCD display, but no optical viewfinder – an increasingly rare option these days and one that would add a good degree of versatility, letting you get the shot when you can’t make out the LCD in bright sunlight, or save battery life by disabling the LCD when accurate framing isn’t vital. Images are stored on Secure Digital / MultiMediaCards including SDHC types, or in 32MB of available internal memory.

I’ve had this camera for about a year and a half and im starting to really hate it. I really dislike the flash, it flashes twice even if its not on the red eye setting so my daughters eyes are ALWAYS closed in the pictures I take of her.

I’ve broken mine …
I’ve broken mine after 9 months just dropping it on the floor during a video rant. I like this camera with the text on the menus, and the 3 pictures stiched together thing is good. In video mode, video is restricted to 20fps in 640×480 and you can’t use optical zoom or re-focus on things mid video. Pictures can be grainy, especially inside unless you want to fiddle with setting and exposure. I like to mess with long exposure and use the 3 picture stiching mode as I’ve already mentioned.
